Meanings Of Attributes With Clear Explanations Like SFraser's
it is my topic from another fan site. i am curious about opinions of fm-britains writers
Firstly sorry for my bad english..
secondly in thread "Free Kicks, Set Pieces, Delivery and the All Important Technique." SFraser's attribution explanations are great..
" -Technique = Ability to execute demanding styles/types
-Passing = Passing Accuracy
-Anticipation = the ability to quickly react to unfolding events around the player. The higher a players Anticipation, the quicker he can react to the threat of pass, or the possibility of a pass, or a for a run or for any other event in the game.
-Creativity = the ability to see passing options
-Off the Ball = the ability to find threatening space
-Positioning = the ability to eliminate threatening space
-Composure = Ability to make Decisions under Pressure and execute
-Decisions = Ability to choose good/best next move options
-Flair = The tendency to attempt/avoid the flamboyant
-Teamwork = The bias in favour of a pass to a teammate or taking the ball on yourself when presented with multiple options."
And now, some ideas of mine.. they are only ideas, i am not sure about them..
Aggression = high aggressive player wants take to ball from opps with tackling, marking, closing down.. (than, if your players tackling 14- and aggression 14+, you can think ppm doesnt dive into tackles... and with marking 14+ agression 14+ tight mark opponent..) // and How often you injure teammates on training (from coentrao) player avoid or don't avoid contact to winning a ball (from jim marrow) Anticipation = if high, he will run to ball when pass execute Bravery = there is a question.. if brave player is our soldier... brave player dont afraids from kicks with dont afraids kicking opponents.. or only dont afraids from kicks? (sorry for my english) // high bravery increase risk of injury during fight for the ball (? from jim morrow) Composure = acting without nerveous when under preassure.. for attacker players it s easy to understanding.. he is under preassure and if his composure high , he can shot or pass with his all ability.. if he is not, accuracy will bad.. for defenders.. all dangerous positions are preassure.. opp forwrd is running with ball to our goalkeeper.. he must tacle him.. it is under preassure position.. if his composure high, he can tackle with high accuracy.. Decision = i think same with SFraser.. and i must say, it s not about shots.. decision is not important for forward players except deep lying support forward and complate forward.. because they are passer too.. Work Rate = is he lazy or hard worker Strenght = who will win challange for ball Balance = who will not drop after kicks, pushs, pulls.. // ability of keeping the ball when tackled/challenged.. (from coentrao) Jumping + Heigh = who will reach to ball on air... Heading = heading accuracy Flair = beating opponents with turning around himself.. Technique = Quality of pass/shot/cross/heading.. SFraser was right.. example, with high passing your player sends ball right direction.. but opposite player can intercept it.. but if your players technique is high, he will loop ball from over to defender..
especially i am not sure about flair, balance - strenght, work rate..
Have you read what the official manual has to say on these matters? It may help you more. Then, if there's anything you still want to query, let us know.
thx millie.. i read it before.. but my idea, they are not say everthing in their manuals, because they want our discovers.. and some explains are not clear on manual.. example, "strenght = A players strength is his ability to exert his physical force on an opponent to his benefit. A player with a high strength rating will be able to use it to his advantage against weaker opponents." we find more clear explanations.. where can we see "strenght" attritube on match engine.. example, one player running with ball and opposite comes, shoulder and shoulder challange.. and, runner with ball is droping.. why? is him balance attritube low? or, strenght attribute low? why? what is difference.. it is just example.. we must find more explanations for every attributes.. player must see them when they are watching match..
otherside.. everybody says "decision" is important when player shot for goal.. he must decide somethings: which corner must i shot, loop or round keeper? ext.. but on tactic creator, there is higlighted (in blue) attributes for every role and duties.. when we check it for forward positions, decision and technique is important for only two forward role: complete forward and deep lying forward.. for other forwards, especially, poacher and advanced forward (+trequartista), for this most dangerous goalscorers, technique and decision is not highlighted.. i think it s important.. we must think them and explain attributes again with clear, visible (when we watch match)
I'm glad that you find my explanations of attributes useful, but I tend to be far more active on the SI official forums.
If there is anything in particular you would like me to define, rather than asking for a complete manual, I am willing to give it my best shot. Otherwise my advice is to just watch the match. You can't beat watching the ME at work for figuring out how attributes and tactical instructions actually work.
And on that point, the issue you raise about balance is interesting. It has often occured to me that players hitting certain types of shot from certain passes/angles might have greater success with higher balance. Balance though, like Teamwork, would be one of those attributes very hard to define in terms of ME performance. It is easy to spot Agility or Workrate in action, but Balance and Teamwork are nowhere so easy to define in actual ME effect.
