As there isn't one already, I thought I would start one to discuss different TV programmes.

As a fan of Sci Fi I have just started watching the new series of Knight Rider. I was expecting it to be a rubbish remake of the original, but it's very watchable indeed, the new features of K.I.T.T. are incredible, so much so I am tempted to buy a Ford Mustang Shelby!

The other program I want to see is FlashForward, it starts tomorrow on Five. The entire world lose conciousness at the same time and see their lives in 6 months time. Sounds quite good, time will tell tomorrow night!

Anyone else have any views on these? Anything else new on screen that floats your boat? Perhaps there is a new series coming up that looks quite good? Feel free to share here.

Looking forward to Flash Forward, just hope it doesn't turn out to be a disappointment like Lost and Heroes eventually did.  I know both have big followings but I just felt that after good first seasons they kind of fell away.

I tend not to watch much TV as I find it difficult to concentrate on.  I enjoy Scrubs, The Inbetweeners and Big Bang Theory though.  I watch Law & Order when I remember that it's on, SVU is my favourite of the three franchises.

Watch MotD and MotD2 most weeks and any football on the BBC, tend to avoid the dross served up by the ITV Sport department (and ITV in general tbh).

The wife watches Ghost Whisperer and Supernatural avidly and I occasionally watch them with her if I'm not doing anything else.

I'm finding myself watching A LOT of Futurama at the moment. Also, the new series of Peep Show. o/

And, thanks to a double teamed effort by the Mrs and our Sky Plus box, The Tudors, which I both despise and quite like at the same time.

It's a very cheesey, glitzy and whatnot for the American audience, but for that sort of programme it's actually reasonably historically accurate.

I really, really hate Futurama.  It's just one of those programmes (like Family Guy) that irritates the hell out of me.  Don't know why they irritate me so much, they just do.

I have the same issue as Daf with The Tudors, My Mrs watches it every week and every week I moan about having to watch it, but I also find myself watching it too and asking her questions all the time. "Who's that?" "What's he done?" "Who's she with?" etc. Wiki comes in handy when watching it too.

Have now watched Flash Forward and I have to say I'm very impressed. Can't wait now for next weeks episode. It will be interesting to see how the story pans out and how many characters they will focus on. Obviously we have the lead role, but it's the supporting stories that could prove to be quite interesting.

Watched the 2nd eisode of Flash Forward last night.  Was expecting Harold from Harold and Kumar to get shot at one point!

Seems like it could be a really good show...

I've been watching every week. It's quite good actually, doesn't feel like an hour has passed at all! (Nothing to do with my sky+ of course )

Anybody seen Modern Family - the new American sitcom on Sky 1?

The first couple of episodes have been good - a few laugh out loud moments.

and the new series of Curb Your Enthusiasm - absolute comedy genius.

I wanted to watch Modern Family but simply forgot about it

Has anyone stuck with FlashForward?  What's the general opinion of it?

So far I'm a bit divided.  Each episode seems to be 40-45 minutes of inactivity and idle chatter wedged between two 5 minute spells of action and adventure.  I also think they need to start and tie up a few of the loose ends otherwise it's going to get confusing and over-complicated.

Oh, and has anyone else noticed that despite all the FF's covering the same time period, some appear to have happened at night while others seemed to be during the day

For instance, the main cop appeared to be in his office at night/evening, similarly his wife was at home in bed suggesting night time.  The German guy appeared to arrive at the airport security desk during the day.  Although that might make sense with the idea I had that they weren't really going to free him, simply fly him around for 10 hours before returning him to the prison as he told them nothing particularly useful.

Yeah, I'm still watching it, but I'm a week behind as I have the clan on at the time it's on.  I'm waiting to see how they tie the ends up and what happens too.  There's too much up in the air at the minute.

I also wanted to shout at that stupid Janis woman when the German geezer said about the dead crows, then they discovered that a massive amount of crows had died in Somalia in the 90s, and she didn't get the possible connection.

It's ok, but I'm not convinced I'll stick with it yet.

I do like watching Fringe, though.

I've stuck with it, but I'm finding it hard at times. I think the only reason I'm still watching it is I want to find out what happens, how it was caused etc. Having said that though, I thought last weeks episode was really good and has got some of my hunger back for it. Can't wait to watch tonights episode tomorrow :)

Not sure what episode you poofs are on, just seen the Halloween one here.  Its tough watching, they don't do anything except angst for 45 mins and then progress the plot bit by little bit.  I thought from ep1 they were in trouble of doing a 'Lost' and it seems like they are.

Watched a programme about the "Greatest David Attenborough TV Moments" the other day.

Obviously you assume it will be the gorillas, but it wasn't. As such, I assumed it would be something a bit crap and disappointing, just because the idiot public had voted for it, but it really wasn't.

Anyone ever seen the clip of the Lyrebird?

Unbelievable.

David Attenborough presents the Lyrebird

The very one - you been watching it?

Before it aired I'd read reports that this series wasn't as strong as previous ones but so far I haven't noticed any decline in standards.
