Errm... probably not.

We're getting new forum software soon though (end of August/September if all goes to plan), so it's hardly worth it anyway. :banghead:

Yup, back to IPB. Definitely a positive step imo.

Should be the last time we ever need to move - unless the site hits bad times.

Nothing in particular.  We used to be on IPB and from a staff perspective it has more features and options that we find useful.  It's also better supported in terms of skins and modifications etc.

I think there are plans to integrate the forums more with the mainsite too and IPB certainly allows greater flexibility in that respect.

The only reason we changed to SMF from IPB was financial restrictions the site had at that time.

Oh, and in case anyone's worried about us having the same issues that the official SI forums are having (crappy skin, buggy forums), that shouldn't be the case.  IPB is the same system we used to have and it was always stable :thup:
