As part of the move to new forum software, we're doing a bit of housekeeping on the membership roster.

The prime reason for this is to root out spammers (we have just installed some anti-spamming tools to help us prevent new spammers, but the old membership roster is rife with them and we need to remove them manually), but while we're doing that we'll also be cleaning up any members who may have registered years ago, but never posted.

Anyone registered on the site for more than a year but has never posted or even 'lurked' since will be removed.

Anyone registered on the site for more than two years but who hasn't been back at all for around 18 months or more will also be purged.

If you used to be a member of the site but can't log in under your old details, it'll probably be because you fall into one of the above categories and simply means you will need to re-register.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we felt that we needed this housecleaning in order remove the bloatedness from the membership list.

No one who has been active - including lurkers - should be a part of this purge, so the vast majority reading this should be unaffected.

Many thanks
