Hello and welcome!
Nice to see you all here. We've set up this new forum using SMF after the old IPB board got corrupted. Simply, this software allows us to do a little bit more than we did with IPB and, crucially, we don't have to pay a penny in licencing. Win-win, I say.
This is new. We don't know all the bugs. If you spot something please report every bug you see, no matter how minor. You can do that in this thread, or you can private message one of the admin team.
Take the time to look around and play with the features. We have a selection of skins which you can change by selecting LOOK AND LAYOUT PREFERENCES from the Modify Profile section at the bottom of your profile page.
You'll also notice there's a host of other stuff on there for you to set, including personal text, pictures, a personal statement and much more. Sadly, you'll have to re-upload your avatars as these didn't make the trip over here.
All the emoticons are still there - if there's any you'd like us to add, let us know.
Otherwise, carry on as before. We'll be making a similar overhaul of the main site in time for FM10 too. Now all we need to do is get off our backsides and actually write some content.
From all the staff here at FM-Britain - enjoy!

Sorry to sound like a whingeing pom, but I don't have any control over my account settings beyond being able to change my password. The 'help' section says I should have
but all I get is
EDIT: I also can't see the General Discussion or Mebers Lounge/Games Room either.

I think it's your LLaMadom which is causing the issue. Check now - as a LLM Member you should now be able to see what you're allowed to see. If you can see too much (or too little), post again.

Hmmm, I seem to have the same issue as Tom, I have very little in my profile tab.

OK. Sorted. For some reason, LLaMas were not given permission to edit their own profiles.
I know. Crazy. Anyway, I've set everything back, so you LLaMas should be both protected from the naughty tipping types but still able to change your profiles.
Apologies for all that. The conversion should NOW work for you.
Explains why Tel wasn't complaining, as he's "regular".

I like the new vision. But this is new for me and I have hard time to find the all options. But the problem is in me.
Well done and big congrats for all of you.
And the new option "spell check" is good for me.

LLaMas don't need no stinking editing.

I have some questions :
1) Why when I "set" bigger avatar, then the forum software makes it smaller ? What is the maximum resolution ?
2) What does it means "karma" ,on the left , below my nickname ?

The avatar should be a maximum of 150x150 - if you try uploading again, it should be a more reasonable size.
Karma is now called "Rep" - it's a simple system where you can give + or - points to people if they make a very good post or a very bad one. Not sure if we're going to keep that in. We'll see how it goes.
If you upload your avatar again and are still having it re-size too small, I'll take a look at the settings again.
