Them being Jewish isn't as big an issue as it is with Ajax though. It's been a long, long time since I've seen any news related to it. Bosnich's Nazi salute about 10 years ago?

The club in general is historically Jewish as JP says, but the background of the fans is pretty mixed - as it is with most teams.

Bosnich - what a fat c**t. Couldn't even play properly in our league when he did his 'comeback'.

Yeah, I don't think there's a particularly high proportion of Spurs fans who are Jewish these days. They come from all over the place, although in my experience quite often seem to be plumbers or electricians.

As Millie suggested though, they call themselves the Yids as a nod to their history.

Yeah, but the Jewish community is very prominent throughout much of North London, so in theory these days Arsenal should be just as prominent amongst the Jewish community.

Just yanking your chain.

No, of course, there is no problem with it. It's just noteworthy, that's all as it's part of the club's heritage. It's like talking about Manchester United in great detail and never bringing up the Munich disaster.

SUch as matches are proofs why no one team will break "the top 4 " teams ,at least in near future.

Not at all. That would be to ignore Citeh's 4-2 win against Arsenal. Or are you saying Burnley will break into the top 4 because they actually managed to win?

One result doesn't prove anything. I think the good starts of Spurs and Manchester City show that there's a decent chance they can at least cut the gap from 4th to 5th to something respectable.

I mean the way that Tottenham lost this match. To reach the top 4 you must win. To win you must play. And Tottenham don't play very well, not at all.
If they lose to Chelsea next weekend I don't consider them to a candidate for the top 4.
As Millie said City could close the gap to the top 4. But Tottenham and Villa - can't. Not at this moment.

Even with all their faults, Arsenal (the team they're apparently trying to climb above) do respond well to poor results and form. This is why they've not left the Top 4 since Wenger arrived, how the spuds respond if they lose to Chelsea will be the indicator to their top 4 potential.

Hmm, I just read what I wrote, and it came right out of the book of a poor commentators clichs. Point still stands, though

Just thought about this again, because something didn't sit right. Didn't Spuds beat a top four team in the first game of the season?
