There wasnt of these about so i though i would start one up.

So Finally we got are man after months of uncertainty whether he would join utd, he looks set for a derby debut next week lets hope that he does not have a derby debut that patrice evra had.

This season and the future looks bright for utd with signings of anderson 19, nani 20 and tevez who is still young joining the likes of ronaldo and rooney.

But one things thats annoying me is the fact that heinze is so desperate to leave for liverpool, i cant understand why as we are a far better side than liverpool.

Because the club told him that he was surplus to requirements. They even (allegedly) did this in a letter which stated that any bid of 6m would be accepted. To then refuse the 6m bid because it came from Liverpool seems childish imo.

o right i didnt realise he had a clause thing, but i can understand why they havent accepted a bid from liverpool as liverpool wouldnt accept a bid from us.

It's not a clause written into his contract though apparently.

the two arguments for either side go something like this:

a) United sent a letter to Heinze's agents saying that 'if we were to receive an offer of 6.8 million, we would sell'. The legal team argue that as this was a signed formal letter then it constitutes a legally binding agreement.

However

B) Mr. Gill argues that although this letter does exist, there was a stipulation that this would not be the case if it was Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea that made the bid. This apparently took place in a conversation between all parties. This conversation was recorded according to the reports.

Personally, i say for 7 million he can go. I don't like the idea of losing a player to the scousers, but he IS surplus to requirements, and doesn't look anywhere near as good as the player he was. I'm not happy about how he's gone about getting the transfer, but, after how we got Rooney, Carrick, Hargreaves we can't exactly take the moral high ground here.

My biggest question though is: Where the hell are we going to play Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Giggs, Nani and Anderson in the same team? Even allowing for resting and injuries, that's a lot of forwards! (Hopefully will also mean a lot of goals!)

Sorry, for fractious writing, i'm struggling to type due to arm injury.

That's kind of my thinking too. If he's not considered good enough to be part of a team challenging/winning the title at OT where's the problem in allowing him to go to Liverpool? You could argue the case that selling them a 'dodgy' player is only going to harm their title bid anyway.

Just seems to me that Fergie's got his stubborn head on again and that it'll turn into ANOTHER long drawn out saga that all us fans who don't support either of the sides involved will get very boring very quickly.

The Reading match was a shocking start to the season 0-0 and we lose rooney to injury for 2months but in all fairness reading were excellent, Steve Coppells tatic he used was excellent the man on man marking kept utd under control, despite utd creating 20 or so chances nobody looked as if they were going to actually score.

Lets hope they beat portsmouth tonight, with tevez making his debut surely he will show us why utd fought hard all summer to sign and recreate some of magic he showed at the back end of last season.

As for the gaby heinze rumours i think fergie should just ship him off to lyon and the lyon boss said he was intersted, and lets hope that fergie brings in an out-in-out striker to fill the boots of RVN because saha is nearly all an injury doubt and ole gunnar 'i feel' he is nearly past it, maybe selling rossi was a mistake , or maybe he will try to bring frazier campbell into the 1st setup who looks top class at glentoran (yes ino they are useless team but he still looked good)

TBF to Fraizer Campbell he looks like he has all the attributes required to be a success at Utd. He has lightning pace, and is cool in front of goal when given a chance. A bit different when it's David James or Petr Cech, I know, but given time he'll adapt.

The problem is that Manchester United have the best starting 11, but Chelsea's second 11 is not that much worse than their first. If United stay injury free in the right areas there's a good chance they'll retain the title, but if they have any problems at all I can see Chelsea walking it.

Mourinho's problem is keeping all those players happy.

I think United will be there and there abouts come the end of the season. Definitely. Their strength in depth isn't all that bad.

I know the striker options look limited, but Tevez will bang the goals in once he's up to speed and Giggs showed last year he's capable of playing as a 2nd striker.

Then there's Nani and Anderson to come in.....don't think you've got many worries TBH, unless Ronaldo gets injured, then your done for!

F***ing hell 1-1 , was listening to the commentary on 5 live in 1st half it sounded as if we were killing them but we just fell apart in the 2nd half, ronaldo sent off cant wait to see this but he is going to get a 3 match ban and we have a derby at the weekend with city on good run of form (yes ino its the 1st games but the looking better than anyone).

utd better get their act together were already 4 points behind chelsea and 4 points is alot in the prem.

Got to be said, it's not been a great start by United. 2 draws against Reading and Portsmouth, Rooney injured for 2mths and Ronaldo sent off and banned for 3 games.

That title defence is creaking already......

If I remember rightly the last time Man Utd didn't win their first two opening games, they went on to win the treble.

Not looking good at all, beaten 1-0 by Man City when we should have won... Desperately need a goalscorer, rooney is top class but not a prolific scorer, same with Tevez.

As for the Heinze problem, he's still a quality defender otherwise he wouldn't be first choice at left back for his country but Evra is better in my opinion as he likes to get forward a lot and has lightning pace. I wouldnt like to see Heinze playing against us and definitely not for one of our fiercest rivals.

Everyone said that last season as well though, and look what happened there.

Ok, so you've not started well, but you'll get up and running soon, no worries about that.

If United win the "mini league" between the big 4 this season, these bad results will be immediately wiped out.

I think with Liverpool looking strong, Arsenal actually able to take points against the... less glamorous, shall we say... teams, there could easily be 4 teams with over 70 points this year. If that's the case, you would expect the champions to get fewer points than last year.

A good run of 10-15 games unbeaten now could well get you back up there.

Of course, if City end up doing that too it could be very, very interesting.

They just need time to settle. You could see this especially with Tevez against City. But heck, look at Nani. What a player! Far better buy then Malouda, if you ask me. Think about his age, and he is even more impressive. I think the squad is monstrous, they just seem to need someone up front with a little bit of strength.

shocking result 1-0 were looking like arsenal last year it looks as if the trying to walk it into the net, but the only you can take out good things out of the city match is that tevez played well and that hargeaves completed 90mins and had an overall good debut but the young goalkeeper kasper was awesum, although were not looking as going to win the league i feel that we can, but we do need to sign a striker
