On this week’s episode of the Get Sacked podcast, we discuss Football Manager Live – the upcoming MMO release by Sports Interactive. Currently in late stages of beta testing, we highlight the process from development to implentation of a game’s release, caveats of utilizing ordinary users when testing titles and the extensive studies undertaken by a software company to research playing tendencies and feedback on new gameplay features.

Our special guest is Marc Duffy, Product Manager of Sports Interactive Games. One of the main forces behind the FM Live release, he has the unique perspective of viewing a large-scale beta test and the positive/negative impact on a game title. Marc will give a small preview of FM Live and it’s distinction between it and FM08 while offering insight on the current developments of the game and the thousands of beta testers working on it’s pending release.
