Tactical Bible ’08: Special Thanks

Special thanks to those who made it possible

Now that FM-Britain’s Tactical Bible ’07 is almost finished and only very small topics may be added, it is time to say thank you to so many people who have been involved into this project or gave us massive support. Needless to say that the team is still active and already making plans for FM 2008, so we will constantly check for updates that may be needed or important requests of new topics.

I think we can claim without any boasting that the Tactical Bible is the most comprehensive work on tactical aspects that you may find today, covering almost all aspects of the game that are directly or indirectly related to tactical performance, especially if combined with Tactical Theorems and Frameworks, which has been the solid base for our work.

Special thanks to

First of all, of course to those who have been contributing regularly to the articles:

garyh, Justified, thegooner, crazy gra, Millie, wwfan, JP

Asmodeus – for contributing your tactical clinic (in absence), which was written at start of FM 2007’s life, but still is very helpful.

GaryWHUFC – for contributing to the rant debate and inspiring all of us with your qualified rants.

Garyh, crazy gra, Millie and JP – for being the most constant contributors for many months of this mammoth project.

wwfan – where to start? Maybe for being the best ever tactical analyst and theorist this game has seen. For writing the groundbreaking Tactical Theorems and Frameworks (and giving me a headache when I tried to read it first). For having the brilliant idea to establish the Tactical Bible Team. For having faith in me, encouraging me to write in English and to lead this project. Too much? I don’t think so.

Millie – for endless and tireless editing and proof reading and teaching me better English (assisted by crazy gra). Every team should have a grammar nazi, and if the Tactical Bible is reader-friendly (as much as you can say that with more then 30 articles now), much of the credit has to go to you.

JP – for getting involved into day-to-day business more and more. You are a credit to the team.

Rob – for your fantastic reviews at FM-Portal. It is a pleasure to have such a reader.

This-is-my-id and Dyreskov – for translations into Thai and Danish

The FM-B-Members – for reading and receiving well our long, long articles, taking part in the reader poll and giving us fantastic feedback ratings, requesting topics or posting questions and feedbacks. Last not least as well for constructive criticism.

Last but not least:

The FM-B staff – for supporting us actively and fulfilling many, many requests. But especially one should be mentioned:

Gaz – for being the – read my lips – best administrator and boss any site could have. Ever. You have been fulfilling so many of my and our requests in a helpful and friendly manner that it does make me wonder how you do it. The way you have set up FM-B and how you guide it in the background may not be recognized by too many people, but you should be a model for any site founder.
